     Being an Upstander

    An upstander is someone who actively supports and defends others, standing against bullying or injustice.  They take action to promote kindness and a safe environment.  Upstanders help stop bullying by standing up and doing what is right. They support those who are being hurt and work to make everyone feel safe.

    if a bully was physically assaulting another peer, upstander would get in the middle defending the person being picked on. They don't always have to get in the middle of the fight, they can tell a teacher or try and find a trusted adult for support.

Bullying can lead to emotional and psychological effects, which is why it is essential that this issue be addressed head-on. Our site will provide information, support, and helpful advice for victims of bullying.
